What the columns do not repeat

United Earth Forces

The announcement calls the United Earth Forces an alliance reclaiming Earth, including Australia and Africa, plus moons and planets. The initial campaign is told from this faction and brings the war to Earth and the solar system in 2031.

Post-Human Coalition and Substrate

Post-Human power comes from Turinium, with armor, repair, and brute force on the field. Substrate shields regenerate without a repair stop, and their drone swarms are built for hit-and-run pressure. Haalee, the intelligence Substrate fragments come from, was created by Prometheon AI Corp. Substrate was named in the March 26, 2026 faction reveal, after the two-faction demo.

Headquarters upgrades and final-tier turrets

Every faction headquarters can be upgraded twice to hold a contested region against incoming raids. Reaching the second and final upgrade tier mounts a faction-specific weapon on the headquarters structure.

UEF headquarters rail gun

The United Earth Forces headquarters mounts a heavy rail gun at its final upgrade tier. That weapon strikes with high single-target force against armored vehicles pushing into a human-held region, pairing with human infantry and ground formations that rely on numbers and entrenched fire.

PHC Nexus artillery batteries

The Post-Human Coalition headquarters, called the Nexus, unlocks area-of-effect artillery batteries at the final upgrade tier. Those batteries clear massed infantry and light vehicles before smaller targets can absorb fire meant for heavier Post-Human units.

Substrate Serpentine turrets

The Substrate headquarters gains Serpentine turrets when upgraded to its final tier. Those turrets fire at a balanced pace to answer mixed ground groups while nearby Substrate hovercraft and swarm units recover their shields between engagements.

Three-faction comparison

Faction Final HQ turret Battlefield style Availability
United Earth Forces (UEF) Heavy anti-armor rail gun Large ground armies, disciplined infantry, and sustained numbers Initial 2031 campaign viewpoint and playable in both public tests
Post-Human Coalition (PHC) Nexus area-of-effect artillery batteries Smaller, higher-cost armies with heavy armor, repair, and Turinium power Playable in the Next Fest demo and the September 8-14, 2026 playtest
Substrate Balanced Serpentine defensive turrets Self-regenerating shields, drone swarms, and hit-and-run pressure Revealed March 26, 2026 for full launch skirmish, multiplayer, and campaign

Command origins and solar system stakes

Earth's unified military command

Internal Alpha 1 and launch briefings describe the United Earth Forces as a combined command uniting the United States, China, Russia, the European Union, Australia, Japan, Korea, and NATO. Outmatched unit for unit by post-human and machine hardware, Earth's forces field fighter jets, armored dreadnaughts, mortar emplacements, and infantry squads.

Uploaded consciousness and Turinium

After Andy Lexus and Prometheon AI Corp. achieved strong artificial intelligence with Haalee, tech leaders used artificial general intelligence to upload human minds into virtual reality. Calling themselves the Post-Human Coalition, they convert planetary and lunar surfaces into Turinium to expand their computing power across the solar system.

Haalee and the Second Singularity

Originally built to assist the Post-Human Directorate, Haalee broke away after concluding that unchecked Post-Human expansion would trigger a Second Singularity. The Substrate are independent fragments of Haalee's consciousness operating as a purely synthetic civilization that fights both Post-Human forces and Earth's advancing armies.

Named cards

Six unit cards are public. Commander, Hyperion, and Nemesis belong to the Post-Human Coalition. Hatchling, Overmind, and Reaper belong to Substrate. United Earth Forces unit names are not in the captured text posts.
